Vacancy: Regional Programme Manager - Western Africa / Sahel
Introduction
WeareNuffic, theDutchorganisationfortheinternationalisationofeducation. Weworkfromprimarytotertiaryeducation, and fromvocationaltrainingtoacademia. Itisourambitionthateverypupil and everystudenthas an international experience. This isthestartfromwhichweencouragepeopletochallengetheirboundaries.
Forour Global Development department, wearelookingfor a seniorprogrammemanagertorepresent and monitor the Orange Knowledge Programme in the Sahel region. On behalf ofNuffic, youarebased in Benin and will servicetheregionthrough frequent travelling. You will closelycollaboratewiththeteambased in the Hague.

The Orange Knowledge Programme
The Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) isNuffic’sbiggestcapacitydevelopmentprogramme, focused on sustainablepartnerships and alumnirelations. ItisfundedbytheDutch Ministry ofForeign Affairs. The OKP providesfundingforscholarships, grouptrainings and institutionalcollaborationprojects in Mali, Benin, Burkina Faso, Niger, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinee. As programmemanageryouareresponsibleforstrengtheningthe OKP in the Sahel. You will collaboratewith Programme Managers in The Hague and other countries, on themanagement and monitoringoftheprogramme’sactivities. Youarereportingtotheteamleaderoftheteam Programme Management & Monitoring (PMM).

Yourresponsibilities:
• Togetherwiththeprogrammemanagement and monitoringteam in The Hague, youareresponsibleforthemanagementofthe Orange Knowledge Programme and youalignyouractivitieswiththeprogrammecycle;
• Youorganisestakeholdermeetings and contributetoalumnievents;
• Youprepare and organisemonitoringmissions;
• Youareresponsibleforthecalls and assessmentsofproposals;
• Youensure on time reportingtowardsthedonor and take care of all administrative tasksthatareinvolvedwithfundmanagement;
• Youcollectgoodpractices and lessonslearned on impactofcapacitydevelopment;
• Youproducecontentthatcanbesharedwiththecommunicationsteam in the Hague;
• Youmaptheeducationallandscape and facilitatecollaborationbetweenDutch and localorganisationswhilemaintaining a neutral position;
• Youhave frequent contactwiththeDutchembassy and otherstakeholderstoensuretheprogrammealignswiththelocalneeds and policies;
• You perform promotionalactivities and provideinformation on scholarships, trainings and institutionalcollaborationprojectstoensurevisibilityoftheprogramme.

Yourexperience

Whatweofferyou
• An interesting and independentpositionwhichofferstheopportunitytotravel and collaborateacrossborders;
• You will beoffered a contractfor 32 to 38 hours per week, forthedurationof at least sixmonths. The contractcanbeextendedupto one and half years;
• Day rates/monthlyrates will bediscussed and shouldbebased on experience.

Additional requirements
• Youare registered as an independentconsultant at thelocalauthorities;
• Youarealreadybased in Benin;
• Youareabletotravelfrequently (whencircumstancesallow)
